Hello and welcome to our dedicated art painting holidays, based in the Peak District, UK.

I have taught on many courses through my career, and am pleased to now offer my own unique painting holidays. We always aim to offer the best experience, and the testimonials and reviews are always very positive and happy about accommodation, food and most importantly about what is learned and achieved.

These courses are suitable for all levels beginners, experienced and those coming back to painting after a gap.

I personally have been painting for forty years and have a lot of knowledge to share. You will learn so much about colour it's temperature values and also about tonal values, you learn form simple demonstrations which can easily be repeated. You don't need complicated colour theory which just leaves people confused this is hands on practical and easy to understand and I find by the end of only a few days people have learnt so much it's hard to grasp just how much improvement has actually happened. i and how to start and indeed to ask yourself those difficult questions and if needed not to be afraid to alter things, doing this will help you in the long term, we are teaching you good habits that will stay with you and liberate you to be truly free and creative.

What really makes our art holidays different is that we limit the group size to a maximum of three people occasionally four but that is the absolute limit. This means you get all the attention you deserve. In the past I have taught on courses where there has been over ten people and it's a real struggle to give everyone enough time and help - this is why we do things differently, I want to inspire you and share as much knowledge as possible. The results speak for themselves and we have many returning customers.           

There are quite a few dates available and different length courses for you to choose from for 2026, so whether you’re looking for a 5-day holiday, a weekend retreat, or a day course to hone your landscape skills, we’ve got an option for you.  

During your holiday you will be staying in a beautiful 17th Century Farmhouse and family home. The food has always been very well received and compared to top quality restaurant food, full menus will be sent before so you can say if you want something changing. Full English Breakfast and anything else that you want can be catered for.

This is a happy family home and you will be made to feel welcome and all needs catered for.
