We find fantastic places for your "outdoor painting" using pure oil paint no turps involved so not smelly! Using Palette knifes and a brush if needed we will teach you with paint alongs which people have found very helpful when first starting, regular demos and all the help you need.
I have been painting for over forty years and have "lots of knowledge to share".
Unlike most courses where they pack them in we decided from the start we would limit the course to three maybe four people, this way you get "the attention you deserve".
The "Peak District" and surrounding landscape is among the most beautiful in England.
"Oil painting Landscapes" is something peope think might be hard but we will show you how versatile oil paint is and because it doesn't dry quickly it allows you keep pushing the paint around. Painting on deep edge canvases also means a clear edge surface to paint without easel grips getting in the way and allows us to safely package your work up for your journey home using minum space and keep the pictures seperate and safe without getting paint on any other surface.
"Classic English Landscape paintings" that's what you will be taking home.
You will be amazed at how much you have learnt in a short time.
After peaceful nights sleep in your "en siute rooms" where you can open your windows and hear no road noise only birds singing and enjoyed your home cooked breakfast of your choice. We head out sometimes doing two different locations in one day. We take care of transport so don't need to use your car. We have many returning customers which speaks for it self.
Lunch and drinks are provided and throughout the day we make sure you have everything you need so water and hot drinks all available. After a successful days painting, have faith we will get you there, come back relax, have a shower then come down for a "fanstic dinner", people have raved about the meals, and wine etc is all included so no hidden extra charges. A full menu will be sent before you come so we can alter anything to suit you. Vegetarian and Gluten free is not a problem or any other requirments. All towels and shampoos etc are also provided.
What we teach you is easy to grasp, you will learn a lot about colour and mixing.
"No complicted colour theory just easy to understand explaination", if someone can't explain colour in simple language they are probably hiding the fact they don't understand it. You will learn about colour temperature and tonal value two different things but very very easy to understand. We only use primary colours teaching you see colours and learn to mix colours. No ready mixed browns or greens here no sir, this is how you get a true sense of light in your paintings and not some generic style flat landscape. Learning to see the colours and mix them will "bring your paintings to life".
